As president of Utah’s Stephen Wade Automotive Group, Wade brings more than 30 years of experience in automotive retail to his role as the NADA’s 2011 chairman. He has owned more than 20 franchises throughout Utah and formerly served as president of the Utah Automobile Dealers Association. Wade was on the front lines of the NADA’s efforts to protect the interests of dealers throughout the development of the Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. Wade’s keynote address will serve as a look into the future of dealer-assisted financing.

A veteran journalist and publicist, Arroyo has led the editorial direction of F&I and Showroom’s magazine and e-newsletter since 2006. Several of his articles, investigations and columns have earned special recognition from within and outside the industry. In addition to his speaking duties at industry events, he administers the magazine’s online F&I Forum and directed the publication’s Red Flags Rule and Dodd-Frank Act Webinar series. Harkins’ background in the automotive industry includes consumer finance, sales and F&I management. As a high-profile attorney and dealer advocate, Benoit advises banks, sales finance companies, auto dealers, leasing companies, mortgage lenders and others on consumer financial services law. He is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Business Law, participates on the Consumer Financial Services and Cyberspace Law committees and serves as counsel to the Auto Finance Council and the Vehicle Finance Subcommittee, among others. Burgholzer also has performed dealership training and consulting for Interstate National and currently owns a large independent dealership.

 

Angelia Butts

Butts has been on staff at Jenkins & Wynne Ford Lincoln Honda for 18 years, with the past 13 spent in the F&I department. She now serves as finance director and handles both special and conventional finance. Dupaquier is head trainer for American Financial’s Automotive Training Academy and is responsible for the content, direction and marketing of F&I University. His career in auto retail began in 1990 and included positions ranging from sales associate to general manager before he joined American Financial in 2000. He has served as a guest speaker for a number of 20 groups, dealer associations and NADA conventions, and was master of ceremonies at last year’s F&I Conference.

Directing each of Safe-Guard’s training initiatives, which focus on outreach to dealers and agents, keeps Garcia on the road and in dealerships about 80 percent of the time. His areas of expertise include product knowledge, menu-selling and objection-handling techniques. A 30-year veteran of the buy here, pay here segment, Hampton is an expert in the areas of personnel, collection programs and interpersonal skills. His experience includes 10 years as a consultant in the Houston area, and he now owns an agency that caters to independent auto dealers. Last year, Hampton joined Peritus as Southwest Regional Director in charge of the purchasing of performing and nonperforming accounts.

 

Heather Haynes

Haynes has more than 20 years’ experience in auto retail and has held positions ranging from service advisor to F&I and general sales manager. Her work at JM&A Group has included work as a trainer and training supervisor and currently focuses on the development, delivery and implementation of training solutions for dealer clients in the areas of F&I, variable and fixed operations. Haynes was recently certified by the U.S. Department of Justice to facilitate ECOA legal compliance training at dealerships nationwide.

Since joining Chrysler Corp. in 1985, Mankin served in a number of key leadership position before assuming his current role.
